What's New:
October
15, 2003 - 5:47PM
I suppose I should
tell you what's going on with this site.
Basically, if The Tick is on hold, this is
on hold. I certainly haven't given up on
the site, or The Tick, though it seems that
NEC (The Tick's publisher) has.
What the hell,
NEC? Are you going to publish more comics or
not? There are plenty of fans out there, eagerly
waiting more Tick.
FEBRUARY
17, 2003 - 10:10PM
Got the comics list
up to date. Meaning all the Christmas Trilogy
and Golden Age comics are now listed. Sure hope
NEC starts up a new series of regular comics
soon.
The quiz will
be up again very soon, though I'll have to write
all the questions again. No big deal.
Once the quiz
is up again, I'll be able to start work on some
MySQL database programming to make this site
much easier for me to update. I know I have
the old HTML-generation program around here
somewhere, but it's just too much of a hassle.
Soon though...soon.
I've all but closed
our Tick message board. Nobody goes there anyway.
I put up a link to the board I always go to
instead, but to be honest, hardly anyone goes
there either.
Now is a bad time
for us Tick fans, since there's really nothing
happening with the series. There are some petitions
and polls out for getting the cartoon and live-action
show on DVDs, and NEC is trying to decide what
to put in a new trade paperback, but that's
about it.
I could REALLY
go for a new comic series soon.

Still not dead. Just
so you know, I'm currently working on learning
PHP, so the guide can be much, much easier for
me to update.
NOVEMBER
12, 2002 - 12:09AM
I'm still working on the site! I've not given
up yet! Just added the 2002 Christmas Trilogy
to the list. They're going to be great. At least
as far as holiday-oriented comics go. I personally
dislike holiday-specific comics, tv episodes,
movies, books, music, and all that stuff, because
if I read/watch/listen to any of it when it's
not close to the holiday, then it's creates
an awkward feeling, like showing up for a parade
the day before it happens, or staying up to
watch Saturday Night Live on a Friday. Plus,
I hate those cheerful lessons/morals that always
show up at the end, like "it's the thought
that counts" and all that rubbish. Here's
a moral for you: "Love your neighbors.
Kick their pets." See how well that goes
over. At least it makes you think, and there's
obviously not enough thinking going around these
days, the evidence being the number of republicans
who've just been elected to various parts of
our crooked government.
Whoops. Rambling.
I'm looking forward to the Tick X-Mas Tril,
and let's leave it at that.
